Desiree Anderson CMCA, AMS, PCAM

Desiree Anderson serves as President of Association Consultants.    Desiree is educated, licensed and certified by the Community Associations Institute (CAI) and has obtained both the AMS (Association Management Specialist) as well as the CMCA (Certified Manager of Community Associations).

Additionally, Desiree holds the Professional Community Association Manager (PCAM) designation, the highest available through CAI.  Desiree joins the elite group of only approximately 2,200 managers worldwide who have earned the highest level of professional recognition in the community association field. She is only one of two to achieve this highly-coveted designation in northeastern North Carolina.

To earn the PCAM credential, managers must have at least five years of community association management experience and complete more than 100 hours of course work in communications, association law, financial management, governance, risk management, asset protection, facility management, and so much more.  In addition, credentialed PCAMs must fulfill continuing education and service requirements, as well as adhere to a code of ethics.  Through her involvement with CAI and in meeting the requirements to maintain her credentials, you can be assured that Desiree’s commitment to excellence will never waver.

Desiree graduated Magna Cum Laude with a degree in Business Management with a focus in Accounting and Finance.  She is a member of the Iota Eta Chapter of the Alpha Sigma Lambda Honor Society.

Desiree has been in the association management industry since 1996 where she started with a small management firm in Virginia.  Desiree is unique amongst her fellow managers in the industry.   She began her association management career as administrative level staff learning all administrative aspects of association management first.  Desiree then progressed to the accounting arena where she obtained complete accounting and financial statement preparation responsibilities.  As she advanced through her career, she was quickly promoted to management level roles which qualified her to receive these professional designations from CAI.  The valuable knowledge and experience Desiree gained by successfully serving in all aspects of Association management, led her to where she is today, an executive capable of starting and operating her own quality association management and bookkeeping firm.

Chris Cavanaugh

Chris Cavanaugh works alongside Desiree as the Vice President and Director of Maintenance.  Chris has been employed for the last twenty years for a retail manufacturer where he was instrumental in helping the company grow from a ten-person staff working out of a garage to an eighty+ staff in an over 80,000 square foot warehouse.  He has learned how to successfully manage and develop a professional staff as well as to oversee high priority and high quality projects.  Likewise, through the building of his own home as well as several family members’ homes, Chris has developed a high degree of insight in property management and maintaining and increasing property value. Chris performs all general maintenance for our clients and oversees the association hired contractors for work required outside of general maintenance.  Chris also works with the office staff and the association Board of Directors, to provide recommendations and budgeting for future capital improvements.
